Book Review #31: The Pleasures of Winter By Evie Hunter

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

(Finished Reading on 29/08/13
My 30th book this year.)

This book is based on a journalist, Abbie Marshall and a famous actor Jack Winter.

Winter has a beautiful face and a body to die for but he has an immensely dark side that allows him to completely lose his self control.

Abbie is thrown into the deep end when she crashes Winter’s private flight for an interview. With her feisty attitude and confident manner she manages to spark his interest.

With much action, drama and sex based on pleasure and pain, Abbie explores her dark side with an all too willing Mr Winter.

I enjoyed this book but the opening chapters were a little too over dramatic and not believable enough. I like reading books where I can imagine everything happening but the whole Honduras episode was over the top due to the near death encounters and the “hero saves the day” scenes.

The intimate scenes were well written, the storyline was ok. But all in all I enjoyed this book so my rating is 4 star. I look forward to reading a sequel but the book didn’t leave me wanting more so I guess it will be a while before I read the next book.
