Book Review #99: Erased by Jennifer Rush

I rate this book 3 out of 5 stars.

(Finished Reading: 03/09/16
My 14th book this year.)

Anna, Sam, Nick and Cas think they have escaped the Branch that they have been imprisoned in. They have been experimented on, made stronger, faster, their memories tampered with and now they have escaped the lab and are trying to outrun being caught and taken back.

They can’t trust anyone, even the people they remember from their past. Memories can be fake and inputted into their minds. But the group seem to be getting flashbacks of memories that have been erased. They need to find out the truth, they need to evade the branch agents and they have no idea who they can trust other than each other.

Apologies but I found this book to be very average. So the gang have had their memories wiped or changed multiple times. Now that they have escaped and not taken medication for a while, they are beginning to get flashbacks of the past that has been tampered with.

They are constantly on high alert and are trying to find a way to live a normal life but the branch just won’t leave them alone. They have to fight at every turn as they try to uncover the truth as to why they were chosen for this project. Agent Riley will stop at nothing to recapture them. His love for violence is a bit disturbing.

I wouldn’t recommend this book as it wasn’t all that exciting. But there were moments when I felt a bit of a flutter at what would happen next. I am intrigued about the 3rd book of the ‘Altered’ series because I just hate not knowing the end.
