Book Review #95: Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

I rate this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

(Finished Reading: 10/07/16
My 10th book this year.)

Tate is moving in with her brother Corbin. Tate is a nurse and Corbin is a pilot.

On moving day Tate turns up alone and discovers a drunk guy passed out on their doorstep. Corbin tells her he lives across the hall and to let him in.

Miles has such a disturbed personality. Cold, depressed and just a workaholic.

Tate and Miles form a complicated relationship where it is all about their physical needs. Miles has 2 rules: 1) do not ask about the past, 2) do not expect a future. But Tate is falling for him and needs him. The only way she can have him is to follow the rules.

***SPOILER ALERT***
The emotions in this book are extremely intense. The love, the guilt and the pain. So raw and extreme.

It was a nice read. The beginning felt so real and the love was captured perfectly. Then came the hard times and it left Miles a broken man for many years to come.

I loved how the love was delivered in this book, but then it began to get repetitive. I thought this would have been a tear jerker book, but it didn’t even come close which is what disappointed me the most.

I wanted the love and the pain. I wanted to know the whole story. But even after reading it all, something didn’t deliver and I expected something to make me feel heart broken.

It was a worthy read but it won’t be a particularly memorable one to recommend.
