Book Review #92: The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

I rate this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

(Finished Reading: 24/06/16
My 7th book this year.)

Meghan Chase, part human-part summer fey, caught in a newly discovered world of Never Never, she is imprisoned by the Winter Queen, in love with a Winter Prince who doesn’t know how to be who he wants to be. All because Summer and Winter cannot be together in the world of Fey.

War is about to begin between the opposing sides all because of a misunderstanding, with the Iron Fey causing chaos and neither side even believe that they exist. No one believes except for Meghan, her best friend Puck and the Winter Prince. Now the 3 of them must find a way to get the truth out whether they work as a team or fight one another along the way.

My Thoughts:

This book is definitely written for young teens. I love the story line, I enjoyed discovering the characters and I enjoyed being in the Winter and Iron realms.

However, the treachery, lies, dishonesty were a bit daunting considering the age group for this book. I would have expected a bit less trouble but a lot more detail when describing the worlds whilst we travel through the world of Fey.

  1. I love the iron fey series. I’ve only read the first two currently so I hope it stays good 🙂
