Book Review #82: Walking Disaster by Jamie Maguire

I rate this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.

(Finished Reading: 16/04/15

My 1st book this year).

This book is written through the eyes of Travis Maddox. A handsome teen who every girl has eyes for. He is an amazing underground fighter who gets distracted by one girl, Abby Abernathy. The only girl on campus who is NOT interested in him.

A crazy relationship builds between the two as they are both stubborn and afraid of their feelings for one another. They can’t decide if they need each other to survive, or to stay away and avoid destroying one another.

My Thoughts: ***Spoiler Alert***

I loved book one of the series. An amazing author who is great at building tension and great at implementing conflict between the characters. I love how Abby unknowingly changes Travis and we see how he is mentally tormented.

The only thing I didn’t enjoy about the book was the fact that I already knew what was happening before I started the story. I deliberately waited until I had forgotten most of the story before I began reading book 2. However, as the story progressed I realised I could remember a lot of what was to come.

I’m finding it difficult to review this book because it has taken me much longer than normal to finish reading. I lost the element of surprise at every turn, but the book was still good because Travis and Abby are great when they are together.
